For my Bachelor thesis, I explored the sharing economy by focusing on a trend that gained traction in 2019. As affordable travel increased, people began requesting others to bring items from abroad. Many used social media for this, despite safety and coordination issues. To address this, I proposed an app that connects customers with air travellers offering unused luggage space, creating a more trusted and streamlined solution.

For this study, I conducted interviews with three real users to inform persona development. Based on these insights, I created personas, user journeys, and wireframes, then developed high-fidelity prototypes. I conducted in-person usability testing with 3 participants to validate design choices and identify usability issues.
solution.
I designed and prototyped a core flow to test the concept of buying and selling baggage space between travelers. The prototype focused on key journeys like posting an offer/request and matching users based on route and timing. Some additional user flow mights be missing due to time constraints. Further improvements, like trust indicators or dynamic pricing could be explored in future iterations.
This project also allowed me to experiment with neumorphic UI design, helping me deepen my skills in visual design and interface styling beyond just layout and flow.

learnings.
Key learnings highlight the importance of grounding personas in real user research, thoroughly exploring user flows before wireframing, and the value of iterative testing to continuously improve the overall user experience.
